The technical characteristics of PolyAl

ECOLOGICAL

Recycled material: PolyAl comes from the recycling of food bricks (Tetra Pack© type), which gives a second life to this packaging.
Recyclable material: guaranteed for 15 years, PolyAl can then be reused by processing it again.

In accordance with DIN71, this material does not contain any toxic substances as it is derived from food packaging.

ECONOMIC

The cost of PolyAl is higher than some other materials used for street furniture, however it is guaranteed for 15 years. It is therefore more durable and does not need to be replaced, treated or repainted regularly.
Maintenance-free, PolyAl saves time and avoids the use of harmful products. There is, however, a treatment that allows graffiti to be removed without damaging the material.

RESISTANT

PolyAl is highly resistant to impact, weathering, oils, lyes and acids. This material is also resistant to mould and mildew as it is 100% rot-proof.

Ideal for seaside environments, it is also resistant to sea air and salt water.

COMFORTABLE

Smooth, splinter-free and snag-free, PolyAl is comfortable to use. Water-repellent material, it dries quickly since water remains on the surface and does not penetrate the inside of the slats.

TECHNICAL

PolyAl is a material that is easy to work with and install, it allows : drilling, sawing, screwing, nailing...

Recycling of plastic food bricks

PolyAl by Guéry

The aim: reduce our environmental impact

Since 2017, conscious of the impact of products on the environment, Guery has created a range of outdoor equiment products made from recycled food bricks under the "PolyAl by Guéry" brand.

What is the method of recycling?

Process is quite simple : the empty packages are mixed with water. As the pulp is stirred, the fibres absorb moisture and the plastic on the laminate layer is loosened.
Through mechanical filtration, the various materials
are separated to obtain:

- recycled paper fibres to provide a quality raw material

for the paper industry

- plastic (polyethylene) + aluminium => PolyAl

How does the PolyAl by Guéry comes into our workshop?

Urban'Ext transforms the material by giving it shape (profiles or slats). Thanks to this, Guéry combines PolyAl and metal to create a range of ecological, weather and UV resistant outdoor equipment.

They're talking about it too!
